Fintech engineering startup Starling is thrilled to announce that it has been awarded a grant from Mina Protocol, a ZK blockchain project building a secure, private and verifiable internet. This grant will support the research and development of zero-knowledge proof (ZKP) technologies through the expansion of Starling’s zkWeb platform.

zkWeb is designed to make zero-knowledge proofs more accessible, offering a user-friendly interface and API that simplifies the creation and verification of proofs. With the support of the Mina Protocol grant, Starling plans to integrate zkWeb with Mina’s blockchain. This integration will both decentralize and update zkWeb’s core functionality, and expand its capabilities.

The enhancements will significantly broaden the potential applications of zkWeb, attracting developers and non-developers interested in leveraging ZKP for privacy and security. This initiative aligns with Mina’s vision of making advanced cryptographic tools more accessible to a wider audience, promoting innovation in the blockchain space.

Starling’s team, led by software engineer Sarah Benson and co-founder Dexter Biyela, look forward to continuing their collaboration with the Mina community and sharing their progress at industry events and through online content.
